Where we started.

Co-Founders of The Honest Stand, Alexandra Carone and Jeremy Day met in 2009 while in college. In 2010, Alex was diagnosed with celiac disease and a dairy allergy—a diagnosis that led her to pay closer attention to the ingredients in her favorite foods. Together they wanted to do better for themselves, their community and their environment, so they created a totally dairy-free, gluten-free cheese style dip made from simple organic veggies and nuts.

As a celiac consumer, Founder Alex Carone knows firsthand how important food quality and safety is. At the Honest Stand, we maintain rigorous standards when it comes to manufacturing, packaging and labeling and hold ourselves and our suppliers to standards of safety and consistency.

As a food company, we believe every person deserves to know what is inside the food he or she chooses to eat. Through our commitment to third-party verifications such as USDA Organic and Gluten Free Certified, we seek to support further transparency in the food chain and empower consumers to make informed choices. 


Dip Into Good: What We Do Best 

The Honest Stand is proud to partner with Feeding America to support the millions of families that are facing hunger or food insecurity. To date, we have donated approximately 75,000 of our plant-based dips and will continue to support this important organization as we do our part to help with hunger relief across the country. 


Honestly Good for the Planet

Producing food responsibly means constantly searching for new and responsible ways to source ingredients and optimize the supply chain while still delivering products that people love. All of our dips come in BPA-free, fully recyclable containers (including our custom eco-coolers) and we are proud to source only organic ingredients from family farmers in the USA.

We are a community of purpose-driven employees who believe that “better” goes beyond just business. Our culture makes us focus not just on what we do but how we do it. That’s why every member of The Honest Stand is given the opportunity to become an owner and we encourage and recognize employees to volunteer with community organizations.

Where We’re Going

While our first dip recipe was created out of necessity, it has organically turned into a brand and a team who are passionate about helping others embrace plants by offering plant-based versions of favorite indulgent flavors. Sustainability, quality, and health will always be pillars of our brand.
